Deployment and Utilization of Business Intelligence Tools

The bachelor thesis focuses on the deployment and utilization of the Business Intelligence tool for the Faculty of Business, especially in the field of admission procedures for doctoral studies using the Microsoft Power BI tool. The first part of the thesis describes the theoretical basis of Business Intelligence and Microsoft Power BI, which will further contribute to the solution of the whole work. The second part analyzes the current state of doctoral studies at the Faculty of Business. The last third part of the thesis contains a proposal of my own solution, where I use analyzes, reports and visuals to try to help the top management of the Faculty of Business with strategic decision-making.

My degree work will deal with design methodology selection procedures for a successor company. In a business plan the company want have 70 emloyees in one year. At the end I'll have a handbook for a selection procedures new employees. I'll start with formulation requirements and generation classifieds, next will be selection procedures and possibility stimulation, I want avoid a unwanted leaving the job.
Overview profile of applicants and accepted students for the Department of military physical education of FTVS UK.

Title: Overview profile of applicants and accepted students for the Department of military physical education of FTVS UK. Objectives: The aim of the work is to describe the appropriate profile of the applicant with the greatest probability of success in the Department of military physical education, based on a comparison of applicants and already accepted students of the Department of military physical education. Methods: The work used the method of comparison, literature research, measurement and questioning using a questionnaire survey, data description, data synthesis, summarization and drawing conclusions. Data collection of the questionnaire survey was carried out for 28 applicants using a paper questionnaire and for 30 students using an online questionnaire on the survio.cz website. The paper and online questionnaire contains 26 questions. The spreadsheet editor MS EXCEL was used to analyze the data from the admission procedure and questionnaire survey. Results: The long-term point average of accepted applicants to the Department of military physical education is 244 points. Important factors for a high score are the support of parents, versatility, preparation for talent tests and the use of the possibility of a preparatory course. Design and Implementation of an OLAP Data Cube

This diploma thesis deals with the creation of a data OLAP cube for the purpose of analyzing big data. The process is shown when creating a cube containing data from the university's admissions process (specifically Brno University of Technology). The data is processed by the commercial tool Business Warehouse from the German company SAP, the cube visualization itself takes place in the program Excel using the Analysis extension. The result of this work is an OLAP cube, which can be used to create analyses of the university's admission procedure and obtain data to fill in the relevant section of the annual activity report.
Comparison of activities of the Mountain rescue service of the Czech republic and Mountain rescue service of the Slovak republic

The thesis is divided into two parts, namely the theoretical part and the research part. The theoretical part is divided into Slovak and Czech parts. In both parts, I will focus on the history of mountain services both in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, describe the organizational structure of these organizations, the binding legislation, the layout of the bases, the qualification requirements for the occupation of the mountain rescuer, their competencies and specializations. The research part examines and compares the differences between the Czech Mountain Rescue Service and the Slovak Mountain Rescue Service. To gain knowledge, I chose a qualitative type of research in the structured form with five Czech and five Slovak professional mountain rescuers. The goals were comparing competencies (medical and other competencies); I was also wondering about admissions and main content (the most frequent interventions) in different areas of expertise of mountain rescuers.

Management of risks during recruitment and selection of teaching staff

Human factor creates the greatest risk when working with people. Above all, to give a good example for future generations, it is necessary to select preschool teachers carefully. However, the role teachers play is not only to present a good example for children but to be also a colleague and team worker. Pre-school teachers are required to possess professional and personality competences. Therefore the process of recruitment and selection of teaching staff (followed by their adaptation in preschools) is one of the most important and difficult things in personnel management. Key staff, mangers and personnel officers are in charge of this process. It is highly important to be able to identify, evaluate and eliminate possible risks in the course of all recruitment process. To eliminate such risks is fundamental not only for key staff in education system. The aim of the paper is to define particular measures of prevention arising form identification and evaluation of possible risks during recruitment and selection of teaching staff school education, taking into account their future incorporation into the process of education. Non-verbal communication as one of the criteria for taking on pedagogical staff

6 ABSTRACT: Knowledge of individual elements of non-verbal communication is of great contribution for verifying submitted information, opening possibilities to view personal characteristics of given individuals. These pieces of knowledge can be successfully used during job interviews for pre-school institutions. This is one of the criteria, which can help discover desired qualities of future teachers, which are necessary for good work simultaneously helping to discover undesirable and problematic qualities. This thesis aims at detecting which features of non-verbal communication are most preferred by headmasters of pre-school institutions in the process of talking on new teachers. Instructions, created on the basis of the questionnaire evaluation and personal interviews, explain the most significant elements of non-verbal communication. These instructions can be used to help during job interviews. Social construction of inequalities in an access to higher education and admission exams

The thesis deals with the construction of inequalities in the access to the tertiary education with the special emphasis on entrance exams to the universities. The aim is to explore how the entrance exams as the gate to the universities are perceived by students - the actors who are the most affected by these inequalities in education, according to relevant research of these inequalities. The thesis studies how these actors perceive their position and situation within the entrance process, what situations (if any) are constructed as unequal by these actors, who is affected by such inequalities and how does he/she copes with them. The research question is seen from the perspective of interactionist constructivism and answered by applying methods of grounded theory and semi-structured in-depth interviews.
